Marina, park, ship store, bathrooms, all beautiful and well maintained. Staff are always knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. Live music on Fridays, awesome 4th of July fireworks, love everything about this place!

We rented one of the newer lakeside cottages and are so happy. Modern and spacious with a great lakeview. The only advice I would offer is to bring a portable AC unit if renting in the summer...believe it or not, no AC in the cottages but lots of windows with refreshing breeze off the lake and some powerful ceiling fans. Not a concern for our stay as we were there in September. Also worth mentioning, the cottage design was very handicap accessible.

Beautiful park with a lot of military history right in the middle of the best lake trout fishing anywhere in my opinion. Trout Derby is there Memorial Day weekend
There are 2 parts to the park. One area is Sampson state park with camping, swimming and concession stand the second is Seneca Lake RV and Marina with all the same as Sampson and the Marina. You would have to contact Seneca RV and Marina.
Loops 1 & 2 are closest to the park office. Loops 2 & 4 are closest to a playground. Loop 5 is closest to the lake and typically the busiest site for that reason. Loop 3 is kinda in the middle of everything. But to truly answer your question loop 1 has some sites that are fairly private. Some sites that come to mind are 1 & 25.
No wifi available in the state park.
Yes, they are allowed to swim on the other side of the buoys that mark the swim area.
I dont know youll have to call,i think there office is opening.

86 & 88 are nice sites. The bathroom is across the road, but the playground is in view from the sites across the field.
Yes you need a license on any property not your own and any town clerk can sell you one
The new cabins are 300.00 a nite and up
I think with most State Parks it is 9 months in advance but, Sampson is not always that busy if you are going on a non-holiday weekend.
Columbus day weekend is the final camping for the season.
Yes there is a dump station. Great park. We go there every fall and often other times in the summer
Joe Keeler he's the park manager
