I don't live out there, but a family friend does. I was inside the apartment while my friend was gone volunteering somewhere and the housing authority person just barged into the apartment. No notice to my friend or anything. Started harping on about me being unauthorized or some such nonsense. I bet they get sued often for harassment.

I am not using housing at this time, but know i will need to soon, the ladies there are great, but there is some problems with whom they are allowing to be on housing, some people don't understand that there is not suppose to be anyone else living there. I know of someone they just renewed their housing and there is 4 people and two dogs in a one bedroom lolol

Its according to HUD funding in st Joseph. Currently we are not issuing vouchers. If you apply it will be for a waiting list. We never know in advance when funding will be available. Its always good to get on the waiting list though. Our number is 816.236.8200 if we can further assist you.
Could take a couple weeks maybe a month

NEVER buy a house from anyone without checking with the city to see who the legal owner is. Make sure to see valid Identification of the owner, if they don't want to show you, something is up, walk away from the deal. NEVER pay in cash. Pay with a check or Postal Money Order, never CASH. Get a reciept for each dollar you pay. Be sure the amount is stated and the receipt is dated and signed by the person you give the money to, and MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CONTRACT. If it is NOT written in the 4 corners of the contract it doesn't count ! NO MATTER what they TELL you, only what is WRITTEN counts! Must be signed and dated by all parties and everyone gets a copy. Should be notorized - Your bank will notorize it for you. All parties must sign in front of the notary. As for if you paid off a house and they won't give you title, you MUST get an attorney and take them to court. No other way.
