Hope Lodge offers you a place to stay while going through cancer treatment if you live greater than 40 miles outside of Kansas City. You are responsible for your own meals and house keeping. You must be referred by a social worker from your treatment center. There are two twin beds, a recliner, TV, dresser and a small table and chair in the room. We are very thankful to have had the blessing of Hope Lodge.

Yes. They have mail slots across from the counter. They will also accept packages.

I believe they are now. Was there to clean and sanitize some of their equipment. and they stated they were ready to open this month

Are meals provided or are there places near by to get meals>

Some meals are provided by volunteer groups, but not every meal or every day. There is a grocery store nearby downtown, there is a Wal-Mart at 43rd on the way to KU clinic.

Are there paper plates and cups for us to use when we stay there?

YES THEY HAVE ALL OF THAT PLUS DISH WASHER S TO PUT ALL DIRTY DISHES IN TO BE WASHED TOO

A friend from our church will be staying there and will need a caregiver for 24/7 for 3 months. Are their companies that contract this service in cases where patients do not have sufficient family/friends to fulfill the caregiver role?

Is it pet friendly? My husband and I have a chiuauah that we've had for a while and we can't leave him because we don't know anyone here. He came here to work and we found out he has cancer
