After visiting a couple of other well-regarded hip surgeons that didn't offer a solution for me, I was encouraged by my PT to consult with Dr. Berkowitz. Beyond finding him to be nice and friendly, and one who spent his time with me, he was able to analyze the problem with my hip. He seemed to know what the problem was based upon the examination, what I told him, and looking at my x-ray even before he examined the MRI. It is also noteworthy that what he told me also made sense. It has taken me two years for me to feel as though I am on the right path for recovery. Thank you, Dr. Berkowitz, and also to your team who went out of their way to accommodate me.

Wonderful Dr. and staff. Always a pleasure going for appointments. Have had both hips replaced by Dr. Berkowitz and highly recommend. Quick recovery with in house physical therapy!

When they diagnosed me with a hip transplant and they told me that they had to cut part of my leg and that the first 3 months would be very painful and very careful, my first reaction was I never do it, but when I went to the appointment with Dr. Berkowitz attended me with great kindness and he explained to me in detail what the transplant would be like, he filled me with confidence and accepted that he operated on me. When I left the operation, the biggest surprise was that I walked out and the next day I went to my first therapy, I did all the exercises without feeling any pain and yesterday I was two months old and until now I don't know what a pain the operation was a success. the truth is that Dr. Berkowitz is the best hip transplant surgeon in the USA as the doctors I consult had told me. thanks to your office staff to Mrs. Morita, thanks Dr. Berkowitz God bless your little hands

My hip replacement feels good but my peroneal nerve was damaged during surgery, that caused drop foot. Which has bin debilitating for 2 yrs. It has been 3 1/2 yrs.and I'm still having same problem with drop foot , even after Dr B said initially that nerve would grow back. I had my other hip replacement done by another surgeon using different procedure and had no problems. Anterior approach was better for me.
