I came to spend the day to use the amenities: mineral hot springs, saunas, pools. I was offered 2 options, $56 entry fee or $68 for entry plus a robe and slippers(i think it was $68, i cant remember for certain). I went with a basic entry. I understand why someone would want rubber slippers bc there is small gravel and sand around the mineral hot spring tubs. I didn't need slippers, but I would have used mine if I would have brought them. The property is prestine. There was a foot reflexology path and outdoor showers. It was a fun surprise. Towels are offered for free. And cups of water available. I brought my own water bottle and carried it around. The hot mineral water tubs are continuously filled and continuously draining. Each tub was concrete and had an overhead covering of some sort. It keeps the sun off you and dry when raining. Do not use sunscreen there. Water had no noticle smell and i have a very sensitive nose. I took my time to look at each tub and chose the tub that had the clearest water. Landscape surrounding the tubs gives it semi private feel. The temps do not exceed 104 the signs say. My tub was not that hot, but after 45 mins i did feel the need to get out and cool off. I tried one of the other tubs and it was hotter water, so i could see why there was more traffic to those tubs. Many sun chairs to lounge on after you get hot from soaking in the tubs. I did not see many solo people. It seemed to be groups of 2-3 people everywhere. I brought head phones which was a good idea for me. Then I could drown out others conversations. But overall it was quite and peaceful. I used the indoor sauna because the outdoor sauna was temporarily out of order. It was a finish style wet sauna. It was not that hot, but then again, it's palm springs in the September, so I could see why it was kept at a lower temperature. The day i went was a "cold" and rainy day. Temps were around 80 instead of 100+ and sky was overcast. I sat on the top row and built a sweat after 20 mins or so. I was blessed with acess to the salt room and ice room. Typically available to overnight guests only. If you're wondering if it's worth it, the answer is yes, absolutely. I would stay the night here next time I'm traveling through or to make this a destination spot. The food in the Cafe was fantastic. Salad and burger with oatmeal cookie for me. Golden green juice is delicious too. I spent almost $40 on my food with tip. I could only eat 1/2 the burger. So I made a second meal out of it. You have the option to take the food outside to eat by the pool. Hair dryers and shower soap/shampoo/conditioner available in the locker room. Very very relaxing experience.
