Drove out from Blythe (1 1/2 hours)to get my GMC truck fixed for a software issue. Brand new truck with only 11 miles on it. Had an appointment at 9:30, kept being told 45 min, or we are wrapping up the download. At 2:45 the service manager comes out to tell us that they can’t download the software. Not sure why we kept being told that it was wrapping up or that it would only be this much longer when it wasnt. Frustrated is to say the least. Software issue was never resolved and we were told we’d have to bring it in another day. I would’ve appreciated a more honest answer at a sooner time instead of just being given a run around.

I wanted to share another wonderful experience that I just had with Chavez GMC. My beautiful 2018 Sierra pick-up had been experiencing some "shifting issues" with the transmission, but we weren't sure exactly what was happening. Finally, a couple of weeks ago, the "check engine" light came on, and sure enough, it was a major and expensive issue with the valve body. Thankfully, when I purchased the truck from them, I took out the extended warranty, which I always do and highly recommend to everyone. By the grace of God, it is still under warranty, and this major issue was covered with a very small deductible. Jorge, my service rep, and Eric, the service manager, were both exceptional to work with. They stayed in touch with me regarding the ordered part, which took about a week to get in from GM, and it was fixed the following day. A very stressful situation was handled professionally and efficiently. I am looking forward to buying another new truck from them in the near future.
