well, especially don't get caught off guard; about "appointments". appointments tend too be given out capriciously, at least in my recent experience. For example, picking up my bike "by appointment" that was never granted after weeks of email and phone calls. this meant I had too show up without appointment and argue with joe at door about why I didn't make an appointment. I think some amount of bullying is a motivation. how so? the recumbent shops are few in this locale so It could be that Joe thinks we need him and not the other way around. will we accept that?

Have to make appointments for a quick 20 minute tire plug that take them 2 weeks to do. You play phone tag with them. And have to make an appointment to go in there to even try to get your bike back and pay them that shouldnt take more than 5 min interaction. Never will work with them again

We left the bicycles for annual service. You need an appointment for drop off and pick up and no-one answers the phone but they would call back at some point 2 days in my case to make an appointment, not a big deal. We were told it'll be done next week and it wasn't not a big deal it was ready in 2 weeks. After I brought bicycles home and hanged them i noticed that both bicycle's chains are dirty !! Paid over 200$ and picked up bicycles with a dirty chain !!! I doubt they did anything This shop is a scam !! Never again I will be back in that shop again they just lost 2 bicycles annually and for those who read this review you have been advised..
