Edit: Safeway commented here to reach out but haven't replied to either of my emails to "Corporate/Email". Doesn't seem to me as though they'll respond outside of saving face on Google reviews. The self-check attendant decided to berate me for moving my items from the bagging area at self checkout. There's no check stands available (understandable for Sunday morning) but I have a large number of items and the bagging area is maybe a square foot. 2 gallons of milk alone fills it up, so I have to move them to bag the other groceries. I'm trying to explain that's why I moved them (and why she could simply press the attendant button instead of being rude) but she just repeated over and over "You can take them off when you press the green button". Couldn't believe someone was talking to me like that, literally asked her "Are you serious?" And she (I swear) said "Yeah I am." And walks away. I put in a complaint to corporate and the woman's name is "Karin". I think she's a manager cause her name tag had a bunch of flair to it but I have no idea. If she ends up being the only person working self check I'll just go to Tumwater, totally insane that passes for customer service.

I previously had 4 * s bit after today it's a -1. I go here practically daily as it is the closest to my apt and the prices are fair. I won't be coming back. Not only did I have to wait almost a half hr to be checked out (self checkout is a no-go for me ) finally got thru the line, he didn't bag my food and there was some kind of liquid dripping off my items and me ( bright red ) I brought it to the attn of the clerk and they made me feel as if it were MY fault even after I pointed out that my 3 things weren't red or drippy. Seemingly to save face they implied I stole whatever was red and drippy. I HAD NOT. 😠🥺😟🤔🥴🥸😵‍💫🙃🧐😖 embarrassing worst exp ever in a Safeway

It was a awesome experience. I got a really nice checker she was adorable. The produce guy was so helpful & positive! The checkers & other employees are always so nice & helpful. LOVE ALL THE ORGANIC PRODUCE as well as a lot of other organic products. Plenty of parking OH they do have curb pickup so folks can order online. Theres a starbucks inside..lots of parking. NICE CLEAN STORE ♥️

This Safeway location is large, clean and has a large selection of products. We had a rather long wait at the checkout counter and ended up bagging our own groceries because they didn't have the staff needed. I still recommend this location as a nice grocery shopping location.
