We booked the cheapest room at $250/nt plus taxes. we were assigned room 310 on the top floor with low sloped ceilings and barely 3 feet around a double mattress. The bathroom was the size of a crawl space with awkward access to towels. We asked for a larger room and were denied. We asked for late checkout and were offered a 30 minute grace period. No breakfast. It's hard to justify the cost.

This review is for the restaurant only. We sat by the outdoor fire a month ago and had cocktails and macaroni and cheese and it was wonderful. We returned today for the macaroni and cheese and clearly the chef was different as it was a very different creation. There was a blob of cheese on top and the macaroni was undercooked. Consistency is important in a restaurant and unfortunately, this is the last time we will probably eat there. Still dreaming of how good the macaroni and cheese was the first time, however…. If only.

We got married at the Inn on Boltwood and had an incredible experience from beginning to end! To Catherine, Jeff, Cory, Sarah, Mitch and all of the dedicated staff, we cannot thank you enough for making our day such a dream come true. We had our rehearsal dinner in the greenhouse room at 30 Boltwood and as always, the food was incredible. You truly cannot go wrong with any menu item but my God you haven't lived until you have had their Mac and cheese. We had the 3 course meal with a choice of 3 entrees and my family has not stopped talking about it! I've seen reviews about the food not being good...they are wrong. We had multiple people who have restrictions or allergies and they were accommodated throughout the weekend which was such a relief, as they were able to just enjoy themselves. Sarah was an incredible help throughout the dinner, as well as afterwards and ensured we were all taken care of! We made the decision to move to an outdoor cocktail hour and tented reception due to covid 19 mask mandates in Amherst, but you seriously could not tell it was not what we originally planned. I felt so secure that our plans would come to life in the hands of the staff, and we were so happy with how everything turned out! Our guests raved about the venue location, the passed hors d'oeuvres and the dinner selection! The staff were beyond communicative - Catherine was a HUGE help, from getting us champagne glasses, to general check ins, and helping get stains out of my dress not one by two different times! My husband and I have both worked for wedding events and in the food service industry and know just how much needs to go on behind the scenes to make an event successful. The staff clearly work incredibly hard and have been able to continue to provide such magical events during a pandemic which is no easy task. Their flexibility and attention to detail were clear throughout the weekend and made every difference for us. It was an absolutely perfect weekend which ticked every box for us and we cannot wait to come back for anniversary celebrations!
