Always busy for dinner and drinks with trivia nights and live music nights in the bar. Understaffed for the amount of patrons but the staff does their best to make the rounds and has always been friendly. Full bar service that may not always be familiar with requested cocktails but they will look them up and do their best to accommodate from their full bar. Cheese Curds and Wings are perfect starters. The Steakhouse Steak Salad is delicious for a lighter meal and for a heavier meal, Steak with a loaded baked potato, steamed veggies and a side salad have never disappointed. Would be a 5 if they weren't short staffed.

We both had versions of the Elk burger. Julie had a build your own version so she could have it without bacon and ham which turns her stomach. My Elk burger I had with no cheese. We didn't know our order of onion rings would be sprinkled with cheese. I shook off what I could. They were delicious, we both enjoyed them. I forgot to ask for my garden salad without cheese which I picked cheese out what I could. I had to eat my thin sliced bacon and ham before I could fit the burger in my mouth since thick burger with egg on top, over hard with it's unique pretzel bun. Our caution didn't pay off as Julie could taste some pork on elk burger which we should have explained to our server all our sensitivities. I am sure they could have helped us avoid our discomforts as Julie had to take a remedy on our way home from Estacada to Salem to reduce her stomach issues. Very nice atmosphere and service. The Restaurant overlooks the Clackamas River. We enjoyed driving up through the burned out forest even with the heavy rain storms and minor rock falls on the road before we stopped for dinner.

My wife and I visited around 2pm on a Saturday for a late lunch. Very loud country music in the bar so we went to the "lounge". We were alone with 4-5 tables and waited a good while until someone brought us menus and asked what we wanted to drink. Must've been a slow day because our server didn't show up for 10-15 minutes. Once our orders were placed, the food was brought out in short order. Wife did not like the doughy batter on her fish and chips and my grilled Reuben was a bit greasier than I like, but had pastrami vs corned beef and was pretty good. Definitely not an upscale restaurant, but we didn't expect to find one in Estacada anyway.

I ordered the fish and chips and they were overcooked and you could taste the char on the breading. The best thing I got was my tater tots which I could have got at a grocery store and stuck in my air fryer. I got coleslaw which tasted like …Allison, I am so sorry that you were unable to enjoy a 5 star experience at The Cazadero. While we strive to make a positive memorable experience with every visit, I will be the first to admit we do make mistakes and will never be 100% perfect. We are training new staff and the timing of cooking things is critical. One extra minute in the fryer can definitely be the difference between perfectly cooked and overcooked. Please never feel bad to ask the staff to have your meal re-cooked to perfection. Our Fish & Chips are one of our most popular dishes and we want you to enjoy every bit of it. As for the desserts, our lemon cake is AMAZING! That being said, it is very possible as COVID continues and our guest numbers get affected, that we didn't go through it as quickly as normal. I will definitely look at making sure we toss the desserts on a timely manner, so I truly appreciate your feedback. I hope you return and give us a chance to show you what most of our guests are able to enjoy - an amazing dining experience.

No. We aren't open for Thanksgiving. So sorry.
We are currently following the Governor's orders. We don't have sushi but you can find our menu at www.cazontheriver.com.
Taco Thursday starts at noon. :)
You would want to call the restaurant for those types of questions. This is a forum for other google users to ask each other questions about service and things like that. The restaurant staff itself most likely doesn't ever access this forum.
