I spent $700 to have an expensive area rug cleaned and refringed, and it was returned "safely" rolled up in a plastic bag. It was kept in an air conditioned storage. After two years, I opened the bag, and it stinks. It obviously was rolled up while it was wet. I called in hopes they would do the right thing- maybe charge me a couple hundred dollars to get the stench out. But they won't budge on the price and they're blaming me for not taking it out of the plastic. I was never told to take it out of the plastic, or I would have. Additionally, a rug shouldn't be returned with any moisture AT ALL. U-haul sells plastic rug bags that have vent holes. You'd think Coit would at least invest in some of those. Or maybe put a sticker on the bag advising to remove it. Or better yet, wait for the rug to dry before rolling it up. Edited to add: on the first phone call I told the manager that the delivery guy did not tell me to take it out of the bag. The manager told me "we usually don't tell anybody when they can open their rug." When my husband called back he claimed the delivery guy told us to cut holes in the top and bottom of the bag, but now in the reply he claims the delivery guy wanted to lay out the rug for us, and we declined. Which is it? If the technician tried to lay out the large heavy rug, and we said "no thanks" were putting it in storage because we're doing some renovations (which definitely would have been the conversation- who wants to lay out a big heavy rug when someone is there to do it for you?), he should have made it abundantly clear that the plastic should be removed, or at least that holes need to be cut in the plastic. The manager looked up our account to see how many jobs they'd done for us and because this was the only job he could find, he said we're not big enough customers to help. We're not looking for a free ride. We offered to deliver the rug to them, and pick it back up, and pay whatever their cost is to get the smell out. But he wants to charge us another $500 plus. My husband offered to split the $500 cost and he said he assumes zero responsibility. I do not recommend this company because if there is a problem they will not assume any responsibility.

It was very easy to communicate and schedule with COIT. Sage Meyerswas helpful in making sure the estimates were correct and accommodating when I needed to reschedule, and Luis Perez and Darren Edwards showed up exactly when they were supposed to and wasted no time in getting to work. My two sofas and area rugs came out looking great - and they are very up front about what you should and shouldn't expect.

The company was far in getting an appointment. The technicians were on time. Raul and Mauricio were very kind and professional . My carpets had quite a few stains. I didn’t not think it could be done but my carpets look brand new!! Thank you!
