I grew up on the other side of the park and used to walk here all the time as a boy. I visited again in July 2020 and noticed that not much has changed in the last 35 years. The pavilion and playground equipment would benefit from an infusion of resources.

There is little remaining in Russell Park that hasn't degraded and been terribly ignored. In my opinion this facility needs a lot of restoration work. Work is money and I understand funding is a complex issue and there is much competition for dollars. Hopefully some day this old park will see improvement and people will return.
