Great spot for an easy, no-stress, comfy seating seafood-based meal. Oysters as their signature, is very very much fresh and of excellent quality for the price; we ordered 1/2 dozen with 6 various types, totally worth it! Their mussel, also very fresh & sweet, steamed with white wine, perfectly cooked, juicy, tender and well flavored! The fish burger is a no-go-wrong choice, satisfying and standard; for the halibut risotto, fish is cooked well, but the rice is a bit overly salty and too much cheese. They have ample outdoor sitting, and on a beautiful corridor setting; however, the wait time is unexpectedly long, with a lot of empty tables being available, they kept us waiting for 30 min (longer than what they promised, and didn’t text us at all, we had to go back and asked what’s the update). Also, the reception staff was not friendly at all, she was cold, acted like she’s annoyed; and when I said I don’t want a table indoor, especially not right next to the reception area where people walked in & out a lot, and I can wait for another table ( there are other tables outdoor being cleaned up) , she simply answered, no, this is the only table I can give to you. The stars are for the food and for our server, who’s actually nice and attentive.

Place is nice - has great view in the outside seating. A bit overpriced though and those fresh ones that come fresh by the dozens are very small. So someone else in the earlier review is absolutely correct: you get less for more $. 8 peops meal turned out to be over $400 with noooo overeating. (had to stop at Marshall’s for clam chowder😕). Service was okay, however extremely busy. Thank you for the receptionist who got us seated within 10 minutes of arrival. Bread and kale salad were pretty good. Hope to give this please one more shot and to improve on food quality, as well as quantity.

Delightful oyster stand on Tomales Bay! Reservations can be difficult to get so plan in advance but it’s worth the wait! We always order fresh on the half shell and the BBQ which are out of this world delicious. Not to miss is the trout spread and cheese and charcuterie plates. Atmosphere is like nothing else you’ll find in the area.

I’ve wanted to dine here for almost a year after finding out about it. Reservations were always full so I was excited to finally book one to celebrate a birthday with loved ones. The view was lovely. The oysters and food were fresh and tasty. I would have given this place a five star review. However, our waitress reminded us that our two hour dining window was almost up. The large party sitting across from us were seated before we arrived and were in no rush to leave as they were still eating and enjoying themselves. It’s upsetting to feel pushed out as paying customers.

How long's a piece of string?
December 24th. All Hog Island Oyster locations will be closing early. Hog Island Oyster Farm will be closing at 3:00 PM, last seating at The Boat 1:00 PM; Hog Island Oyster Bars in Napa and San Francisco will be closing at 4:00 PM, with last seating at 3:00.
Reservation is highly recommended
Cover that with damp paper towel would help. As long as the shells is still tightly shut, should be ok.
They're still open but only for oysters to go at the moment. When the current stay at home order ends they'll go back to Fri, Sat, Sun full service bar by reservation. Shuck your own picnics aren't coming back until everything is back to normal though.
Best way to find out is to give them a call during work hours.
You might want to call them...
Give them a call...but hoping you can get in...it's great!
Put in bag hit with hammer repeat add pieces and dust to you plants and trees soil bed
No canopy and you'd want it not only for shelter during rain, but for shade from the sun. Enjoy
I believe they do. Best bet is to look a through the pics on Google, I posted a pic of the menu. If it ends up helping hit the thumbs up!
Yes, in the picnic area only if they are leashed. Make reservations ahead of time.
im not sure if they have an official policy but it's all outdoors and seems dog friendly.
