Despicable business practices! Double check that they take your insurance, because they won't tell you until it's too late. Let me preface this by saying I have been a client of Hartville Family Dentistry for close to a decade. I have never been disappointed in the care I received from Dr. Bright or her predecessor, Dr. Russo. Also Kim is the best hygienist I have seen. Early December I had tooth pain in one of the teeth that was crowned early this year. I went in and was referred to the endodontist, who did a root canal and temporary filling in the crown. I made an appointment for January 6th for Dr. Bright to do the final filling in it, as the temporary filling only is good for so long. They call to confirm the appointment a few days ahead as usual. I then go there for the filling, only for the receptionist to say "they did tell you that we no longer take your insurance as of 2022 when you confirmed your appointment, right?" I explain no, nobody told me this at all. She says "well they should have" and gives me a half-hearted apology and that was it. No offers of a discount or anything to compensate me for THEIR mistake in keeping their clients properly informed of changes. Suddenly I am now faced with footing the entire bill despite having insurance because I am at the end of the life of my temporary filling and there is no way I can get established with a new dentist in time to have this done. I paid to have it done as what else could I do given the situation. I do understand things change and I'm not upset at the fact they no longer take my insurance, but rather the fact I was not informed prior to my appointment made weeks in advance for a time sensitive service. Basically if they make a mistake, you the client are the one that is gonna end up paying for it.
