Honestly the worst experience. Went in to sell a watch. A guy with white hair and glasses ask me how much I wanted it for, I gave him a number to start with, instead of negotiating and discussing the price, he simply asked me to leave and said I was not reasonable due to my asking price. I then asked him how much he willing to pay, he refused to answer and ignored to reply. Instead of negotiating and providing guidance to customer, he simply refused to provide assistance. Please educate your employee with some basic manner and basic human decency.

I’ve been coming here for a little over four years now and always had a great experience. The staff is very friendly, approachable, and helpful. They have good prices on jewelry along with a wide selection to choose from. Aside from jewelry, they also have a small selection of collectibles. When it comes to pawning jewelry, they ask how much you need and see what you have to pawn. They then weigh it and test it and give you an offer-which is usually the amount you were looking to get or a little lower, but they try their best to meet you halfway at least. There has even been times where they’ve given me more than what I was asking for. They could’ve easily just gave me amount I was asking for, but that’s just a perfect example that shows how honest they are. Even when it comes to getting your items out of pawn. They send reminders to let you know the due date is coming up. They’re actually one of the ONLY pawnshops in Jersey City that actually want to see you get your stuff back. Unlike the others where they can careless if you get your stuff or not. Other shops prey on people not being able to pay their loans back. In a business like the pawn industry, I can honestly say H. Schoenberg is one of best. I highly recommend doing business with them. You won’t be disappointed.
