Truly a BAD experience. Every time I take my dog to get her vaccines I have to leave her there for hours. They always have the same explanation, that they got complicated with the previous pet. Whats the purpose of the appointment if I have to leave my dog for hours there just to get vaccinated. Don’t take your pet to this location in Hialeah.

Every time I bring my pets I have to deal with so much attitude from Patty. She was cursing at her coworker because the vets didn’t follow proper procedure by informing me of a specific test before performing it. I refused to pay for that test of course because they had to get my consent first. On top of that Patty told me that she doesn’t need to inform me when administering vaccines to my pets because it’s in the wellness plan. Yeah, I understand that but I don’t need all that attitude and disrespect when you’re giving my dogs vaccines without my consent. I dropped off my dogs at 8:20 am and had to wait until 2:00 pm to pick them up. It is insane every time I bring them it is a 6 hour wait time and the only thing I needed was a medication refill but they said that the dogs needed to come in. Her supervisor at Banfield needs to talk to Patty because shes the reason I am going to cancel my membership. I won’t tolerate that disrespect from an employee when I am the one paying hundreds of dollars for memberships and services.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
Hi Mariam - Many of our veterinarians treat exotic animals such as reptiles and birds. We also offer treatment for other small mammals, including guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters and gerbils. We recommend contacting your local Banfield to find out if they are equipped to treat your pet, or with any specific questions you may have regarding bringing your exotic pet or small mammal in for a veterinary visit.
Hi Melanie - If you’re an Optimum Wellness Plan client, you can also ask pet health questions 24/7 via Vet Chat in the Banfield app. f you would like more information, you can read about Vet Chat here: https://www.banfield.com/pet-healthcare/additional-resources/online-vet-services. We hope this helps!
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
