Well kept campground with bathrooms on site. Walking distance to Pine Creek and the Rails to Trails bike bath is easily accessible. There is also a boat launch for watercraft and ample parking.

Great place to camp on Big Pine. Very well taken care of. Easy access to the stream for putting in or taking out canoes & kayaks. Part of the "stretch" with tons of fish thanks to the Slate Run Brown Trout Club and the state.

This place is so beautiful and the water is so nice and warm. U don't freeze when u go and get in the water. The only bad part was the biting flies were really really bad!!! So if u go make sure u take bug spray that is for those kind of flies bcuz when they bite u bleed!!! I had regular off bug spray and it work d for like 5 minutes and then it was like it didn't work anymore and they were back to biting!!

What a fantastic primitive campground! I stayed there with 15 others and had plenty of space (think it was lots 6 and 9 that we had). At night we even saw the Milky Way! There are only 2 toilets and no running water, electricity and no phone service. So prepared to rough it. Bring a saw. There is plenty of firewood nearby. All you have to do is carry logs back to the campground and cut them into pieces that fit into the fire ring. Bring plenty of water and buckets to wash yourself. You are not allowed to wash yourself in the stream. The closest WIFI is at the nearby general store. You can even get the WIFI while parked outside the store (the password is on a sign next to the door).

Camping without a current camping permit issued by the District Forester or his designee is prohibited with the exception of backpack campers who do not stay more than one night at any campsite (permits are strongly suggested). A camping permit is normally issued for no more than 10 people at the same site, unless authorized in writing by the District Forester, and permits will indicate that a Letter of Authorization has been issued. A camping permit will be valid for no more than seven consecutive nights, at which time the campsite must be vacated for a minimum of 48 hours, unless a Letter of Authorization is issued by the District Forester. Permits will be issued on a first-come, first- served basis no more than 90 days in advance. All camping permits are issued at the Resource Management Center in Watervill ASK FOR WENDY, Tiadaghton State Forest Forest District #12 10 Lower Pine Bottom Road Waterville, PA 17776 (570) 7535409
