the only good thing about this ramp is that it is out of the wind and the parking is ok. otherwise there is issues like the new docks are too high and you have to step way down into your boat. don't know why they had to build it that way but that is how it is. Also you will have to back your trailer where the back of your truck or car will be in the water because it is shallow and then it drops off deeper farther back. not good for rust issues for sure. so be careful when you are using this ramp.But as i stated it is out of the wind so launching is not difficult. Hope this helps.

Well first off, I used this boat ramp because I wanted to fish the area and then go south. The boat ramp was really high up for my boat. We had to sit down on the dock and step way down. Then my boat was too high to go under the 520 bridge. Maybe I could've lowered my bimini top and antennas but I didn't want to chance it. Only saw pontoons and smaller boats doing that and going under. Also it was shallow. I didn't know what the depth was like under the bridge. That messed up my whole trip. It took forever to get to the barge canal on the northern end. So I didn't venture too far from that since I had to make my way back. Anyhow, a beautiful area for fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. A few really deep spots in the area as well as shallows and mangroves. The residential boat traffic wasn't an issue in the area this day. It was light. There was plenty of boat parking when I got there. But when I left in the afternoon it was mostly full.

The ramp is real shallow and if you back in to far the ramp has a big drop off. You have to put your tow vehicle in the water. It is great for wind surfing.
