Not sure if all of my fellow Truckers are paying attention, but all of the chain restaurants are trying to capitalize on the market and push that processed garbage down our throats...so I thought I would share with you all a gem of a spot you will never forget... I-40, exit 87 is where you will find this BBQ happening spot, where you have to choose which is the best, the food or the service, because both are out of this world...I have been coming here for years, and I have never been disappointed... take a look at what 50 bucks will get you; a half rack of ribs, a pound of brisket and fixins... you have to supply your own pillow, which is where you're going after eating a little bit of this... INDEPENDENCE DAY IN DA SMOKY HILLS OF TENNESSEE...I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Where does a retired catering chef go to get barbeque to serve to a crowd from England? Exit 87 BBQ & Catering! They were blown away by to taste and quality of the pulled pork. The baked bean were perfectly prepared as were the slaw and potato salad. This is a pic from the party! I carved the melon, Josh and Tiffany made the food! Success!

This is the top 3 BBQ I've had in my life! Absolutely amazing. Tim was Extremely hospitable and welcoming. I could of hung out all day! Can't wait to get back there! I crossed off another place on my bucket list that I never knew was on there!

Was headed to lowes for gas & saw this place across the street. The Jumbo BBQ Sandwich brought back memories. Smoked exactly like the way my father would make it.
