Mountain Stream Vacation Cabins

I have stayed twice in the last couple months. The owners are beautiful people, and the cabins are well kept. Peaceful and private, enjoyed a fire by the stream and grilling chicken. My favorite part is the hot tub! I highly recommend this place.

Feb 2022, 2 nights, cabin #2: Outstanding, exactly in the middle of "no-where". The perfect place to recharge and still be in touch - we had AT&T cell service, so we weren't off the grid, but remote enough. Shower and hot tub are great. The hot tub was the clincher, 103'F, night light, Christmas lights on rail. Building a fire and staring at the mtn & Childers Creek renews a love of nature & family. Waking up to the sound of the creek, rain on the tin roof, and birds was great!!! Owners Dan & Michelle were accessible and helpful and down-to-earth. Price was great - cheaper than staying at a nice hotel in Cleveland Tn. Vets discount. Big porch to sit in big chairs , soak up nature, renew relationships. Nearest supplies and pharmacy are in Etowah, 40 mins. Nearest big box is Athens, 55 mins. Therefore be careful to bring all that you need: medicines, toiletries, food, firewood, and a space heater if winter (gas logs fireplace kept room warm, but we wanted it extra toasty in the bedroom, therefore the space heater.) Stay focused and slow if driving on 30, 315, or Childers Creek Rd. - one inch off the shoulder and it's goodbye (:>)! Spoke to locals at various stores, history of the area is awesome. Didn't hear banjos (;>). Can't wait to get back and hike around.

This is was the second time visiting mountain stream cabins and the second time was just as wonderful as the first. From the wonderfully peaceful cabins to the little stream that my 4 year old could wade in everything was just great. 10/10 would recommend! Can’t wait to visit again soon!

The location was perfect. Unfortunately the stairs and decking are not safe and several of our group members slipped and hurt themselves going down to the small creek. Pretty sure commercial establishments are supposed to have proper gripping on outdoor stairs. Our dog also cut her paw open on exposed nails on the decking. There were a ton of bats also living in the between the awning and cabins. The staff also accused us of stealing a $10 doormat from our cabin, which isn't true at all. If you are over the age of 30, stay away from this place as it's a personal safety liability, especially if you have small children. We'll find a safer, less sleezy place to stay for our next trip.
