I am new to NC and needed to get my license and vehicle registration changed. I checked online … let me just say that NC is extremely different than the state I came from!!! Anyhow, I got everything together that I would need and went in, prepared to stay all day if necessary. To my surprise I was initially met by a very friendly lady who made sure I had everything I needed then handed me my number and said it probably wouldn’t be a long wait. And she was right!!! Less than 10 minutes!!! Got my license, well temporary license, then on my way to the title/registration line. All in all I maybe spent 20 minutes inside!!! To be fair, there weren’t many people even there, but still … I have never got in and out of a DMV that fast!!! And everyone I dealt with was nice enough … go figure!!! Haha OH!!!! Wait … one thing that I do wish had been on their web site … if you are doing anything with registration or title (I’m not sure which one this applies to) you will need $5.00 cash for a “Notary fee”!!! This fee has to be paid in cash for some reason and if you don’t have it you have to leave to go get it then come back to finish. I didn’t have it but there was an Angel standing beside me that, as soon as he heard me say I didn’t have any cash on me, pulled out $5.00 and handed it to me!!! So, again, all in all a basically pleasant experience!!

It's Saturday morning and closed, here says it's open from 8-12. A line of people waiting for hours the office to open but it didn't.
