I have had need of radiology services over the past several months and I have chosen Transylvania Regional Hospital. I could not be more pleased with the service I’ve received. From registration to radiology, staff are kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. They have worked together as a team to take excellent care of me. Thank you TRH Radiology department!

Do not go here!!!!! Avoid at all costs!! You will never be put in touch with the right person. Ever!! I went to the ER back in August 2021 with abdominal pain. The doctor immediately told me there was no ultrasound tech on duty. She told me to drive to Mission Hospital in Asheville and she gave me a piece of paper to give Mission when I arrived. I was at this ER for less than 10 minutes due to my case being an emergency. My spouse drove me to Asheville & Mission took me right in and I had an emergency surgery for an ovarian torsion at 1am. Then, out of the blue I got a bill from Transylvania hospital for $350 for my ER copay. What the heck? I wasn’t even there for 10 minutes and they didn’t have the staff to help me??? I’d already paid my $350 copay to Mission Hospital along with my coinsurance payments for the OR, docs, scans and the like. Over the next 5 months, I proactively called Transylvania hospital asking to speak with someone about this bill. Every time, a nice person told me they were reviewing this and it was in my chart. Finally after 5-6 calls with no help, I stopped calling. Then today, EIGHT months after this ordeal ———when I’d called them constantly, they've started trying to collect this copay again. I’m at a total loss. I have perfect credit and have never had a late payment in my life. This hospital’s back end administrative system is simply terrible. Avoid at all costs.

Yesterday a client at the program I work for had an ER visit and our personnel who were with our client asked for the prescription to be sent to the wrong pharmacy. Today I call at 11am to change pharmacies. An hour and a half go by and the new pharmacy doesn’t even have the prescription sent to them yet. So I called the hospital again to make sure they sent it, they didn’t, and with no explanation why. I asked a second time for them to send it to the new pharmacy. Another hour and a half goes by, still not even a prescription sent. I call back, staff answers and says sorry we didn’t have your phone number but we wanted to confirm that you intend to send it to the new pharmacy because yesterday the doctor, and program personnel who were with the patient agreed on the first one. I said okay, that’s fine, however this is the third time I’m calling to confirm, please resend it to the new pharmacy. They say okay, we hang up, actually they hung up on me because they said “make sure next time they don’t give us the wrong pharmacy, have a nice day, click”. Fine whatever, idk or care I’m just happy the prescription is finally being sent over so our client can get her prescription. They call back SECONDS later to say we decided that only someone who works for the program can change pharmacies. This is HOURS after I’ve waited for this prescription, it would have been helpful if you “decided” that hours ago. One. Two, I said “okay no problem” I introduce myself I work for the program and my position, again, they say “no the person who was with the patient needs to be the one to call, are you the program director?” asking in a derogatory way. I keep my cool and say “no, and that is also fine, just to clarify do you want the program director or the person who was with the patient because those are two different ppl. They pulled another, ‘I’m going to give a statement and hang up’, move. I think they’re name was Cory, and it felt like I was talking to my teenage daughter. I call my director to fill him in as to why I’ve been in a Walgreens parking lot for hours and not at work, he’s in disbelief, and advises me to just call the ‘old’ pharmacy and tell them to send it over to where we need it. After hours of avoidable rigamarole and unprofessionalism at Transylvania, I called the pharmacy where it was mistakingly sent to instead and had them send it over. 20 minutes later it’s in my hand :)
