Beautiful cemetery. Was very peaceful to walk through and take a few photos.

Heard about this area through one of the YouTube videos I watched about Beaufort. Very small cemetery space, with lots of trees and a cozy historical feel. I found it very interesting learning about all the types of people who lived in Beaufort before my time. Although some of the headstones have weathered and it felt like I was stepping on some of the graves even though I did not mean to. Also there are some poison ivy plants in the area so be careful about those if you decide to come.

There is a pamphlet just inside the main (Ann Street) gate for the grounds that I highly recommend you get, to truly embrace the burial grounds. This is an extremely unique burial area. If you do the Ghost Tour, you will visit here at night & also learn about various graves here. Definitely worth the visit.

If you like walking through graveyards this may be the coolest graveyard you will ever walk through. It is through. It is incredibly historic and has so many resources where you can learn stories about the people. There is an app where it can walk you through some of the true some of the main stories.

It depends if the front gate is open. Most Sundays the gate will be closed, but I have driven by on Sunday and the gate was open.
