A failed organization. They appear to be on the side of the businesses who pay their dues. We waited 9 months with various excuses and delays for them to use an arbitration clause with no relation to them as an excuse to side with a deceitful, corrupt contractor. Quite literally BBB charges General Contractors to be a member, then allows a standard arbitration clause that is in any work that they perform to avoid adjudicating complaints against these contractors. So, they are essentially guaranteed a good rating regardless of their behavior. All under the hypocritical guise of performing a higher service to fairness and the public good. What is this if not corruption. It is a more fitting ---business model for Russia than America. -------- In réponse to BBB response dated 4/19/2022 Renee, thank you for your apparently thoughtful response. May I respectfully suggest in your evaluation that you may have bigger issues than our complaints. I consider starting with 1) Why consumers are given a strict "respond in 7 days or your complaint will be cancelled" while businesses are given months of no response with the only BBB response to consumers being to "give them more time." 2) I will also respectfully disagree regarding guarantees. As an example, general contractor SH does not engage in business without its customers signing a contract which involves an arbitration clause. SH pays BBB a fee to be listed as an accredited provider. In its decision on our case regarding SH, BBB stated that it cannot decide against SH due to this clause. So, a) if this is in fact BBB policy, it should have been the BBB initial response, as we have never disputed the presence of this clause, and SH referred to this early on in the communications. Failure to do so for 9 months engenders distrust. And, b) if this is in fact BBB policy, then it seems that you do indeed have a model wherein a company may pay BBB for a protected accreditation. In this circumstance, I stand by my comment that it is a much more corrupt, malignant and misleading "Russian" model rather than the transparent arbiter of consumer rights that the BBB presents itself as. BBB could simply stop accepting payments from and providing accreditation to such companies, and you have solved the issue. Or, BBB could choose to fulfill its stated role as an objective arbiter without excuse or exception, and the problem is solved. BUT, c) BOTH accepting these payments AND providing the company an A+ listing on your site AND declining to adjudicate such cases, while making no comment on the listing company's page on your site that the company's A+ rating is, in practical terms, unassailable (or at the absolute least heavily favored over businesses without such protection, such as a local vendor), certain suggests impropriety. And d) if it is not BBB policy that such clauses prevent BBB adjudication, then you may have an even greater concern regarding why these decisions are being formally made and implemented against your organization's policies. I sincerely wish you the best working out the contradictions that seem apparent in the BBB model, at least as have been explained to us thus far. I am sure we agree that any community needs fair protections for both businesses and consumers, and I hope you are able to see your goal fulfilled. ----------------------- 4 MONTHS LATER - NOT A WORD FROM BBB. THEY NEVER EVEN REPLIED TO TWO COMPLAINTS. CORRUPT, INCOMPETENT, EVIL, GREEDY, DISHONEST, OR ALL OF THE ABOVE. A VERY PUTIN-ESQUE BUSINESS MODEL. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. DISGUSTING.

They have reviews listed for our company that clearly state the customer ordered from another website. There is even a complaint for someone not receiving MENS SHOES... we have never carried mens shoes and we are not lavishboutique.ca Nobody even works at this establishment. We have called and emailed multiple times. UPDATE: You have complaints listed for my business that never should have been listed for my business and this is not the first time this has happened. The complaint clearly states they ordered from lavishboutique.ca, not lavishboutique.com therefore I should have never even needed to respond to anything that has nothing to do with me. I have literally been trying to contact this office for over a year. I have never received anything to respond to.

Free Cancellations? Hog wash! Happy Holiday Motel said my money WOUND be refunded in days! Well I cancelled on 7/21 and today is 8/7/2021! Guess what? NO REFUND Charged! Credit card CHARGED before I before arrival date! Said no credit card is needed to make reservation. Cancel reservation 48 hours prior to ARRIVAL! Then said it's normal and WOULD return my money in DAYS...NOT WEEKS! What happen to TRUTH IN ADVERTISEMENT?

Holliday Roofing did a terrible job. We wanted a 2 car carport added to the side of our home I had the building inspector come out and his comment was "it looks like a 7 year old did the work".we had to hire another company to fix mistakes.
