We arrived on a busy Sunday morning. Wait was acceptable at 20 minutes. Our server was obviously very over-worked. Too many tables to care for on such a busy day. However, he kept his cool and worked as hard and quickly as he could.

I've always enjoyed Colonial Cafe so it pains me to write a somewhat negative review. Went for dinner on a Friday night and it was very busy. It took a very long time to get our order, our drinks never arrived until we asked about them, it was clear the wait staff was extremely over-worked. I wonder if closing off a portion of the dining room rather than over-extend your staff and leave customers with poor service would be a better solution? The dining hours are also very limited, closing at 8pm especially on a Friday night is really disappointing.

All guests are asked to wear masks when moving about the restaurant. Staff has temperature check and symptom check upon arrival. Booths have plexiglass dividers between them and tables are spaced 6 feet apart. Surfaces are sanitized between guests.
I am not even sure if they take reservations at this time. Pro tip: If you go on a Sunday after 10am be ready to wait 40 minutes for a table.
