Lived at the CADA apartment on P and 16th for about three years, and really enjoyed my interactions with CADA staff. Maria and Dale in maintenance are awesome and timely with repair requests. The apartments are affordable and at great locations, even though slightly on the older side. My apartment manager LaSonya always greeted me with a friendly smile. Have recommended CADA to friends and prospective renters.

Freeman Rudulph works for CADA, so of course he is going to give the company that he works for 5 stars!

They deserve no stars but I’m order to post a review had to give one star. The resident service manger and the building manager are ridiculous! They discriminate against those who have disabilities, they lie and take sides with other tenants who are wrong, they call elderly parents getting them worried and upset. Just because they are an emergency contact doesn’t mean you call them for petty stuff! Learn the meaning of an emergency is! They also will give you a bad reference and tell a potential landlord/rental app negative things about you which is against the privacy law. They truly are a joke and glad I no longer rent with Cada.

CADA offers studios, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments (walk-up and garden-style) and townhomes. Available apartments are posted on our website (click on the “Apartments” tab) at www.cadanet.org. The website is updated every Friday by 5PM. Detailed instructions for renting are included in each posting. The leasing agent processes calls and emails in the order they are received. Qualified applicants have at least 2.5 years of positive, independent, verifiable rental history, earn a household income of at least 2.5 times the monthly rent and have positive credit history with no evictions within the last 5 years (Medical bills and school loans are not counted as negative credit history). Applicants are required to pay a $40 Application Fee and a holding deposit of ½ the monthly rent. 25% of CADA apartments are part of a “low-income” program, either monitored by CADA, HCD or CalHFA and follow HUD and LIHTC guidelines. SHRA HCV (Section 8) is accepted.
CADA has senior-only apartments, but also apartments for non-seniors. Many (but not all) CADA units are rent controlled, but you'll want to talk with CADA directly on rents and availability. Good luck!
