Unsatisfactory experience at the Avis at the San Jose Airport. I booked and pre-paid for a Full Size vehicle with Sirius XM. Arrived at airport and was asked if I would take a Small SUV instead. Why would you downgrade a customer? And they didn't include the Sirius XM that I wanted. What is the point of pre-paying, if you aren't going to have the vehicle available when I arrive? Should have been offered an upgrade not a downgrade. Not sure I will go thru Avis again. Will make sure my employer knows the kind of service we get with our account.

The car I received was amazing and in pristine condition. Plus the toll pass helped me drive thru express lanes without any hassle.

Edited version: We would like to thank one of the company executive who understood our concern and resolved the situation. Before edit: I would have shared No star for this car service. Here is my ordeal and pathetic response by customer service: We were unfairly charged 160$. We had a check in at 8:30 pm yesterday and check out at 8:56 pm today. Despite the customer service representative confirmed us on phone that it is sufficient to return the car by 8:59 pm, we were charged additional days fees and additional hour fees citing wrong check in time, funny part, we weren’t even at the airport at the said check in time. Interesting that our total rental was 150$ and penalty charged was 160$, even after explaining that we were students, representatives were least bothered and showed ‘cold shoulders’

I did not book any reservation nor did I physically been to this rental location. But I received a bill and charge me for a rental fee at this place. I thought my identity may be stolen and booked a reservation online, but don't we need driver licence and ID for verification when picking the vehicle? No idea how the fraud manage to pick up the vehicle. Something is wrong with Avis's workflow.

Parking garage 3rd or fourth level. Follow rental return signs. 😁
I had to do that in San Jose. I just left the keys in it. Also you can use the app to return it
Call ahead and ask. It really depends on the location.
This is a Google guide site, you need to contact them directly. When I have used them in the past (Monday Aug 12) it took me less than 5 minutes to get a car.
