Used to be amazing, now it's terrible. They are discriminatory against people who use EBT/SNAP, do a terrible job of bagging, lots of expired products on the shelves, long wait times at registers.

Their employees are extremely rude and discriminating! I don’t go to a check out because I don’t want to be guilted into tipping! With that being said, I have never encountered the rudeness of someone (2 people) accusing my family of not paying for certain items! To their surprise, I got defensive and showed them my receipt of the items and the cost of it on the receipt! Do not come at someone assuming they did not pay for items without at least asking if they can look at the receipt to double check! Ask politely! This is public humiliation because of the scene and other people thinking that my family cannot afford to pay anything! Mind you, it was about $200 in total! And to call the manager about it 20 minutes after it happened and for him to say, “if the cameras show any unpaid items, we will get MPs involved, notify your husband’s chain of command, and we will press charges.” IF?! I told him, “well when you find nothing, I better have an apology.” To be singled out, out of the four or five self check out stands, you really went there! I will be taking my business fully with Food Lion, Walmart, Target, and Sam’s Club. No thank you!! Never returning after this stupid encounter!

Not veteran friendly was turned away because my VIC card didn’t say service connected on it. I have received my VIC card back in 2015 just haven’t gotten the new card yet (didn’t know that I needed a new card). So I went to little creek commissary and was welcomed there and brought my groceries like I usually do since 2018 when veterans were allowed on base.

No sorry. You can go as guest. Be sure to have a valid driver's license/state id. You can shop, and look around ( as a guest) but not purchase anything. Only the person with the military id, can pay for the items. They do check for id at the cashier check out.

Usually for holidays they will close early. Hours tend to be 0900 to 1700 on government holidays.
