The list for the electrical apprenticeship program is long and can take from six months to a year and a half for an intake exam to be scheduled. Ensure you are prepared and ready to pass the intake exam. Meanwhile, go to ABC NorCal's website and sign up for their Electrical Trainee program so you can get a job with an electrical contractor and accrue work hours while you wait.
Internet, a diploma of preparatory, and a driver's license.
Depending on the trade. Labors and painters get in within a few weeks. Carpentry takes a few months. And last but not least, Electrician. It took me around a year to get in the electrical program. That was about 3 years ago. I would say around 6-9 months now, for electrical. It is well worth it, trust me........
