Not positive on this, but found it to be about the 4th week after they recieve the paperwork.

There are forms to fill out for change of name, make sure you bring proof of your name change (marriage certificate, court order, adoption forms ect...) Information should be available on the DMV website. Yes you do need a new ID if your name has changed, if you kept your maiden name then you shouldn't need one. If you moved in with your spouse before or after marriage you should update your address.

You'll need a title transfer form, if it's a out of state vehicle you'll need the title for it as well as insurance on the car. If it's in state bare minimum you'll need is a bill of sale releasing interest to you.

As far as I know, you can make a new appointment online. I haven't been able to figure out how to cancel or change appointments. I suggest stopping by the DMV & when the lady comes to the door, tell her you want to cancel & see what they say. But still, get online & make yourself a new appointment asap becauze they are running 1 to 2 months out. If you can go to Medford DMV, you might get an appointment quicker.

You're going to need a good adhesive to re-apply the stickers after removing! I always use GORILLA GLUE! Use an iron or hair dryer to heat up the old adhesive on the stickers They should peel right off the plate! Then, add a drop of new glue to the stickers and adhere to the plate, obviously, in the right positions!
