Great location. Patio seating was great until the sun came out and the umbrellas were not providing much shade. Service was good, our server was very nice. Overall the food was okay, nothing remarkable for the high prices. I enjoyed the salmon Pâté served with fresh cucumbers, refreshing and light, while when spreading on the toast it was rich and buttery. Mussels were perfect on a saffron broth. I ordered the seafood curry which was rich on seafood and well cooked lacking on spicy taste uniquely identify with curry. My husband had the Halibut. He stated it was over cooked and lacked flavor. Our friends had similar comments for their dishes. We shared a wonderful peach cobbler with ice cream and caramel sauce. We all concluded that the prices are too high for what they offer.

To start with the highlights, my husband and I went there for dinner this evening and had a terrific server, Kimberly, who was very friendly and attentive. We always enjoy the view of the marina whether you dine inside or outside, and it's been clean whenever we've eaten there. We've been there during lunch and dinner on weekdays and on busy weekends. There's a decent selection of meat and seafood prepared pretty simply, with standard sides. This time we ordered a steak with green beans and a baked potato and a plate of grilled cod fish tacos and fries. The steak and sides were flavorful and cooked well for a flat top steak, but there were a couple things that would have improved the tacos. Firstly, they were served with the sauce and pico de gallo underneath the fish, which I've never seen anywhere else. This made the flour tortillas soggy. The tacos were also sat on top of the fries, which then made the fries soggy right away. Flavor wise, we were satisfied with our orders, and a few easy changes would have made the tacos and fries a lot better. The food is familiar and reliable but not exciting, which is just fine if that's what you're looking for.

Spending Thanksgiving in Olympia and not having anywhere planned for dinner we popped into Budd Bay. They had opened up their bar area to accommodate more diners for TK so we were shown to a table straight away. They had a traditional TK menu and we both went for the Traditional with all the trimmings which was really enjoyable. Even managed to save room for desert. Thank you to all the friendly staff for making a TK to remember.

Hi Carol, No, we don't have a separate room but have a back corner with a half wall that seems pretty private for a group that size. Hope to see you soon. Patrick
Highly recommended, long wait times if you don't have reservations.
The hours are varied. Earliest is 8:00 latest is 10:00. Depending on flow.
