Nice fabric selections but DO NOT LET THEM LONG ARM QUILT YOUR PROJECT! My first two projects were quilted by Tamara, who has a good eye for quilting patterns, and did a great job. My third project was quilted by the store manager (Tamara's mother) and there were crossed lines, and places where quilt stitching had been removed. For my fourth project I requested Tamara. Months went by so I finally asked for my quilt back and the manager said it was one that was going to be finished that very weekend. She said her daughter would contact me. Instead, the manager contacted me and said Tamara had chosen a nice quilting pattern and was going to begin. When I got my quilt back I was shocked. There were several puckers around the edges, there was a mangled edge, and the quilt pattern didn't match the style of the quilt at all. The top of the quilt was puffy in some places as if it hadn't been smoothed properly before quilting. Either the manager lied to me and quilted it herself, or Tamara's skills have decreased dramatically. I was charged the full price for the service. But they do have cute fabric.

I do not live in CA, but this lovely store is always a must-stop when I'm traveling in the area. I've been there many times. Besides having an incredible choice of fabrics and other goodies, they have a great selection of kits. On a recent trip, I bought another kit from them but did not open it until I was back in my home state. To my surprise, some of the fabric was missing! I had never had that happen before from any kit. However, after contacting them and explaining the situation, they immediately rectified the situation and even sent me more fabric than necessary. Their communication was awesome and their generosity was unexpected and completely appreciated. They will always have my business when I'm driving through the area and I highly recommend them to all fabric loving people!

Delightfully displayed store. Staff extremely welcoming and helpful. As Arnold said "I'll be back".

In the mid 2000 my husband bought me a combo sewing machine/machine embroidery from Abs as a Christmas gift. Intimidated by the machine I only used it for straight line stitching. In 2016 I contacted Abs and asked for a lesson. Amazing that after 10 years they were happy to help. I started taking classes, attending their events and am no longer intimidated. Colleen is a fantastic instructor who wants to share her knowledge to inspire your creativity and ensure project success. The shop is welcoming, friendly and helpful.

You need to wear masks. They have hand sanitizer when you go in. It was not busy when I went so I don't know if they limit numbers.
We sharpen scissors. Bring them by anytime.
