We booked a private house and gardens tour and arrived in between the tours. However, it wasn't so busy and Bob, a lovely guide, took just me and my friend on a private tour. It was insightful, picturesque and peaceful. We learnt so much about the architecture and history of the family and New Orleans. Would definitely recommend visiting - and ask for Bob to guide you!

Visited on 9/6/22 with a group of 9 woman. House was very nice and interesting and gardens were beautiful. Would love to come back in the spring when flowers were in bloom. Would give 5 stars but gentlemen tour guide seemed a bit rude and seemed put out when anyone asked a question. However, the Staff at the visitors office /gift shop and the little Cafe were very friendly, informative and polite. Would recommend for adults & families, although younger children may get bored.

do y’all have a stand were u can buy food and drinks
$12 per adult. That's for house and garden. If you choose to not do the house, its the same price.
Yes, Longue Vue is open year round 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday and 1pm-5pm on Sunday.
$12 with discounts for students and veterans. A very fair price. You get a guided tour of the house and access to explore the gardens
Please call the Longe Vue Gardens and ask them please.
Hello! Our hours on Sunday are 1pm - 5pm and Monday through Saturday from 10am - 5pm. We are not sure how much the taxi ride would be, but it looks like Kat estimages $20. You can also take the street car to the end of canal (by the grave yards), but there is about a 25 minute walk after that down Metairie Road. With it being so hot right now, a taxi or ride share is probably your best option.
