Today, my family and I had the worst experience of our lives at Boston Children's Waltham. My 8 year old daughter was medicated to "sleep" and extract 2 permanent teeth. We were told that she would go to sleep, wouldn't remember anything and would feel no pain. As soon as she started to get sleepy I was happy that everything was going as expected, there were no surprises and my mother's heart was at peace that everything would be fine. But nurse Olivia from Dr. Green was giving too much medication into her vein and she didn't sleep. Suddenly, without any prior explanation, I was taken from the room where she was still awake and scared, and when I asked if I could stay I was threatened to call the police, because a mother who did not resist any request was just trying to understand what was going on. happening, and also wanted information about my legal rights to actually have to go out and leave my daughter helpless, awake, and alone with Dr. Green. I left and waited in another room very sad, frustrated and insecure to leave my little helpless daughter alone with a medical team that no longer had my trust. In less than 5 minutes Dr. Green appeared in the waiting room and said everything was done. My daughter's 2 teeth were extracted in cold blood, without anesthesia, she was awake, remembers everything that happened and felt a lot of pain. You disrespected us as human beings, you disrespected our trust and a simple procedure became absolutely horrible and traumatizing. A totally unprepared and authoritarian team.

I just recently had a surgery at Boston Children's in Waltham and the preparation and care I was given was unmatched. I have a strong fear of needles and IV’s and when the nurse heard that she gave me medicine to help me relax, played my favorite song on her phone and even covered the IV with a covering so I wouldn’t see it while recovering. Everyone is so nice and helpful

Clown show. You will never find this place not running at least 45 minutes behind first thing in the morning. Can't even imagine what it looks like on the typical afternoon. Avoid it and plan to go elsewhere.
