The bureaucrats and “managers” do their damnedest to usurp the good work done by most of the line staff! I have not had much luck with the VA since my 2 doctors retired! I am now giving them another shot since the new site is supposed to be much better than the old Chico VA outpatient clinic!?! Dr. Panal and Dr. Eaton are sorely missed! (Sacramento VA).

Wife of a Veteran here, I’m extremely disappointed in the new Chico VA clinic. We have made an appointment twice for my husband to get established with a primary care physician and once to get his dental cleaning and they’ve cancelled all 3 appointments the VA has called to cancel- and reschedule it. The first cancellation they didn’t offer a replacement appointment and same scenario for the dentist appointment as well. This last time they called and rescheduled it for 3 months later. It’s frustrating that they are unavailable to provide basic information and care as to why the appointments have been re-arranged. And how do we know the same thing won’t happen again come July? Ridiculous.

Nurse Dianne was very knowledgeable, kind and professional in the detailed exam she did today, the VA and veterans are fortunate to have her as well as the specialist physician she did the exam of me with.

Dr Schafer isn't fit to practice medicine even as a veterinarian, due to his self centered attitude and uncaring approach. He is totally without the slightest bit of compassion for a patient. Yes, I can back this up even with witnesses from his staff. Bruce Mcbride PS l am considering pursuing legal malpractice.
Chico VA hired two excellent physicians to their Primary Care practice; they have been seeing Vets since February

Hi Bill. I wasn't aware of no availability in Yuba for ID photos. I checked with our enrollment rep at Chico and we are still doing ID photos, no appointment needed. Just follow the protocols at check in and let them know you are there to get a new ID.
A gr8 loss, James, you never called me back. Over a year I have been waiting.
