Traveling through the PNW, hubby and I decided to make a much needed pit stop at an RV Park in the small town of Yreka to catch up on “household chores” and RV issues. With two weeks worth of laundry spilling out of its carrier, it would have been great to save time by getting it all done at once. Hubby would drop me off, attend to fix-it issues back at the RV, and return to pick me up. Laundry in tow, we headed over to this self-serve laundromat. We were disappointed to find it hot and filthy with more than several machines out of order. The faded and dirty signs full of “rules” and instructions were haphazardly placed. There were no price sheets listing what the various machines cost to run other than a couple taped to the wall above the commercial sized dryers addressing only those machines. There were no carts that I could see. There was a homeless person sleeping on the bench against the wall. I have nothing against him, but how on earth could he sleep through the suffocating heat? It was 100° outside and close to that inside. IDK, maybe he was the attendant who was supposed to be on duty? Who owns this place?! Have some pride of ownership. With stronger attention to customer service, even with several machines out of order, this place could be a little gold mine. Not one person was doing laundry. I didn’t feel safe, and I felt like I needed to go back to the RV for a shower after walking through that dirty place. The hours of operation are good. We visited on a Saturday evening. I don’t understand the 100 Google reviews averaging out to a 4.1. “All American?” Nope.
