If it's your meter that is leaking,in my experience it's the water company's place to fix it and take care of the bill. I had a major leak between the meter and my home ( I don't own the property but I do my home) so that was the owner of the propertys place to take care of it. Now if it was leaking between the road and the meter it would be the water company. I would call the water company and explain. Hope thishelp

Hurricane Prep. Davidson Water, Inc. has multiple generators to operate water treatment plant and critical pump stations in the event of power outages. Elevated tanks will be at normal levels. You should remain with supply unless one of the following occurs: -Catastrophic damage to treatment facilities - As recent as 2017 our treatment facility on the Yadkin River experienced a historic top ten flood and we kept right on running a normal operation. -Damages to water lines are so extensive that we cannot pump more than the system is losing – This is highly unlikely. Please report any outage as soon as possible. -Toppled trees/debris prevent us from accessing pump stations – Critical pump stations have generators and we have portable generators if needed. We are in touch with Emergency Management personnel & NCDOT. Before, during and following any storm, please conserve water to help keep the tanks full. Continue to conserve water until all damage has been assessed. Thank You
