Leon is great but Suzanne has a nasty attitude. I followed directions from Leon to clear off my individual shelf between sessions and verified that work waiting to be fired was good to stay. Suzanne called me out of the blue and told me I had to come pick up pieces they'd fired after my last class (which was 3 days ago) by tomorrow or she would throw out my work! I asked if I could just pick them up at the next session and she said No. I had to leave work and waste an hour of gas to rush and save my work, and it turns out they only fired 3 of the roughly 12 pieces i'd been waiting on! I asked if I should pick up my unfired work then too and she said no, I can get those at the next session when they fire them. She's got to be on a power trip of some kind and is being completely ridiculous. Very frustrated.

Carolina Clay Connection charges $195.00 for an eight week session. This is composed of two and a half hours of teaching once a week for the eight weeks. One 25 pound bag of clay is included as well as firing your pieces and use of the house glazes. I hope this helps!

Do you know the best way to remove bight gold residue from fired pieces?

Refire the work at the temperature of the main glaze. Gold luster is fired to a very low temp and will fire off. May leave an effect on the glaze.

To the best of my knowledge any kind of clay you want. It comes in 25 lb blocks & there are also dried powdered clays for making slip for casting. I use their porcelain but they have stoneware and low temperature clays of all varieties.
