It's a good experience, it provides lots visuals and information for free, and you can use the observation tower if it's open for free. The kids will enjoy movies on the dome, but if you can tell the difference between HD and SD then it would be cool for 5 minutes. Besides that the facility is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. If you're in that area and into earth, planet in the stars, it'll be worth your time.

The experience was really affordable and they have shows for a wide range of ages. After a children's sesame street showing, they let everyone go to rooftop telescope and look at the moon.

Reserve seats ahead of time because some people stay from a previous show and keep the seats they previously had so there's not a large selection to choose from when you come with a large party and can't sit together but other than that I enjoy going and learning about different things of the planets, space and the solar system. In the building that the planetarium is located in there is also some small exhibits to look at and a neat little gift shop. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
