The only points I will give them is that they actually picked up the phone unlike some other slaughter houses and did an alright job with the meat. Otherwise, this company doesn't seem to be well managed. They give very confusing directions and do not clearly communicate to customer what is expected of them. They don't on the phone or on their website give a clear explanation of exactly where to drop off animals and where to pick the processed order up, and what the time frames for doing that are. All I got was "around the back" and "in the morning". The building has multiple doors/bays that are unmarked, no signage indicating what doors or areas are what, no bell to indicate to them that you're waiting to pick up an order. You just have to show up to this large unmarked building and wander around until you find someone. They also do not explain to you prior to you picking up your order that they expect you to pay with check, which would have been good to know in advance. Generally a very confusing and stressful experience that makes you wonder how they get any new customers. Will just process my animals myself in the future, not worth the hassle.

This was our first time dealing with meat chickens. Eklunds was very good at answering my calls when I had questions. We dropped off our lot of 40 birds Friday morning and they were ready for pickup Saturday morning. We will be repeat customer.
