The lady when you first walk in was very rude to me. I was concerned about my whereabouts of my title because it’s been months and she basically was rushing me to get out of the line.

The wait was long but not the worst. The facility needs more seating. The person I dealt with was very friendly, apologized for the wait and processed me quickly. Not the worst experience I've had with the DMV. That is still at the Beaufort location.

Anyone that has lived in NJ, you will be amazed what the staff at SCDMV can accomplish! I recently had both my drivers license and vehicle plate stolen, separate event. Drivers license took 20 minutes and the plates took 30 minutes,if this was NJ, the time would be either weeks or days. Appreciate what you have!

No. Bring proof of who you are (see website - passport, etc) if you have a license from another state, bring it, proof of residence, etc. If it's your first time getting a license, there is a test, so you may need to schedule that.
I don't think so but when you do come bring all your documents birth certificate and proof of residence they real strict about that now has a new law about getting a new ID in South Carolina call federal ID so make sure you got all of those in hand.
No, you have to go to the Beaufort County Tax office in Bluffton.
No, you have to go with the papers at DMV
Check the website. I believe they will let you now or maybe in certain counties only.
I haven't received my July sticker. What do I do?
I Think That You Must Submit The Accident Report To Your Insurance Company First After Getting The Accident Report From The Reporting Officials ( Police, Hi Way Patrol Or Sheriff's Department ). Then The Insurance Company Takes Over And They Usually Notify You Prior To The Court Dates. When You Appear In Court At That Time They Will Find You Guilty Or Innocent. That Is When The True Accident Information Will Either Help You Or Hurt You. Good Luck 🤞
The staff is very friendly you can go and ask before you line up and get a pass
I'm not sure about your Real ID, but I know that they can do a very quick eye exam at the DMV. You just read numbers/letters from a machine. No need to worry about your eye exam number!

Sales tax you pay the South Carolina it's capped at 750 unless the car is under 5,000 then it will be 7% then you have to pay a stupid property tax before you register the car that can be anywheres up to $2,000 or more depending on the year if the older the car the cheaper it is and you must pay this every year.
16 for licenses, 15 for permit

South Carolina provides you with your driver's license immediately for leaving DMV they do not mail it resume. They do male titles unless you're willing to pay an additional $10 fee with the option to pick it up immediately sorry about the talk-to-text errors

After purchasing a vessel, you have 30 days to title and/or register it with the SC Department of Natural Resources before late fees apply. In general, to title and/or register your boat in South Carolina you'll need to present the following items at a DNR boating office location: A completed Watercraft/Outboard Motor Application (Form SCDNR BTR-1). You'll need to turn in a notarized bill of sale, which is included in the application. Any of the following proof of ownershipdocuments: The boat's current, properly assigned title. If your vessel did not require a title, provide a written explanation of why your boat is exempt AND a tracing or photograph of the hull identification number (HIN). A Manufacturer's Statement of Origin for brand new boats purchased from a dealer. If your watercraft was previously titled, registered, OR purchased out-of-state: The current registration card. A pencil tracing or photograph of the vessel's HIN. Payment for all boat title and registration
No you must pay the property taxes that are required in the county in which you reside.
You will have to visit your local SCDMV and bring your title and proof of insurance and proof of SC residency with your social security card and $15.00 I believe is the current fee.
To do so, visit your local DMV office and: Surrender your driver's license from your former state. Show proof of legal residency in the U.S. and South Carolina. Show proof of citizenship. Bring your Social Security card. Pay the driver's license fee: ―License valid for 5 years: $12.50. ―License valid for 10 years: $25. Steps To Apply For A CDL Permit/License You must meet the requirements for a South Carolina driver's license. Fill out the CDL application form making sure to check the right option and hand in in-person to a DMV office. For more information see Instruction Permit section below. Pay the $15 application fee. Complete Form DL-402 and provide information regarding any out of state driver licenses. Pass the CDL knowledge exams. See the CDL Manual for the required information. The exam can be taken at any DMV location. You will need to answer 80% of the questions correctly in order to pass. Pass a vision screening test. Take road test at your local DMV office.

You can register your car with the SC DMV either by mail or in person. You'll need to be able to provide your vehicle title, proof of insurance, vehicle property tax receipt, and payment for your registration fees. You can also transfer your license plates from your previous vehicle to your new one.
Lost or Stolen Decal You may hear a decal referred to as a sticker. If you lost the decal for your license plate, you may buy a duplicate decal at an SCDMV branch or by completing and mailing the Application to Replace License Plate or Expiration Year Decal (SCDMV Form 452). You must mail the completed form and a $6 payment, made out to the SCDMV, to the address below: SCDMV Registration PO Box 1498 Blythewood, SC 29016-0019 If you're not the registered owner of the vehicle, you must complete Section IV of the form above. This section authorizes a different person to receive the replacement on behalf of the vehicle's owner.
To order a replacement SC title, submit the following to your local DMV office: A completed Application for Certificate of Title and Registration for Motor Vehicle or Manufactured Home/Mobile Home (Form 400). Proof of identification. ... Payment for the vehicle title fee.
Plan a little better.
