I just graduated from Trans Tech. I attended the site in Greenville, NC. I want to personally thank Mr. Ron and Mr. J.D. for taking the time to make sure that we were safe and professional drivers. We spent most of our time with Mr. Ron and I can't think of one negative thing to say about him. He has over 40 years of experience and you can tell he knows his job. The only negative thing I can say about Trans Tech, especially at the Greenville, NC location, is the amenities at the training site are subpar for students and especially for the highly qualified staff. They have to endure the heat and cold at this location and have no electricity to even attempt to stay cool or warm. The have a 12 x 14 outbuilding on the property where they attempt to complete paperwork and try to stay organized with no electricity to even run a fan. These professional instructors deserve better. Other Trans Tech sites have metal shelters with electricity to run fans to make it somewhat bearable for students and staff. Trans Tech you can treat your instructors better than that.

If you want to learn about the Trucking industry come to the Newton NC location I drove from Charlotte to Newton and I’m glad I did! From help during class to extra help if needed this is the best place to learn. The instructors were GREAT, good laughs and serious when needed. Just come with a good attitude and a willingness to learn you’ll be good. Thank you TransTech for giving me a brighter future.

Be careful, especially ladies. some instructors has very bad attitude, poor level of ethics and unprofessional. And this school is trying to lie and protect them instead of fixing or training the instructors.

If you already have your permit you still have to do the classes unless you have had some kind of training. Enough to pass the driving part , backing up there's 3 different backing there's the off set , straight line back and 90 degree backing. And the pretrip inspection it includes naming 89 parts on the truck and knowing what they are and the incab inspection. Give these guys a shot they are very good at what they do they will not missguide you
She is an excellent teacher also Tommy was not a bad teacher either and he helped me out a whole hell of a lot both of them he'll even Joe was helpful you just dealing with different personalities
Pay it. Don't let a company pay it. Found out the hard way. Stay away from Schneider. Far away.
We offer training in both AMTs and manual transmission vehicles. The market and industry is turning towards Autos...in fact, most companies are at or will be at 75 percent auto by the end of the year. Daimler Trucks is producing 80 percent autos currently out of production. Companies such as Schneider and Swift are no longer ordering manual transmission tractors.
Full time classes are 7 am to 5pm, Monday through Thursday. 7 am to 11 on Friday.
It depends on when you finish the online classwork but classes start every Monday I recommend calling to see when you could start.
Is it for Hazmat? What type of vehicle are you wishing to use for the credential?
Yes, so I guess you should test on the manual trans so not to get the restriction...
Trans tech offers a variety of classes for people's individual situations, give them a call and they can answer your question. I had the pleasure of dealing with Randi at the office in the office at Newton NC. Worth the call.
I'm going thru swift and they paying for every thing upfront school and hotel but I will have to work for them for 6 months to pay them back
Melissa caballero they are great instructors they really know how to teach it so the it is easy to learn. I just graduated from there and it was the best decision of my life. Hope all goes well if this is what you want to do.
You can be 18 but you wont be able to leave the state of nc and I'm pretty sure its 2500 for a 4 week course
At orientation we were told you have to drive OTR for 6 months before you can get a dedicated or local route.
