Where do I start. I bought my house 4 years ago. The solar was installed a year prior. To own the system, a 21,000 balance was paid. 4 months ago, my solar stopped working..I called Byers, who installed the system to get it working again. After 3 months of back and forth, Byers solar manager told me it would take 4 men 8 hrs each to repair my system at a cost to me of 3,000. Paid before work would start. I called sunpower, who found a company, who did the work with 2 men in 3 hours at no cost to me. This company also wanted 13,000 for gutters and leaf protection. They called me several times and lowered the price to 9,000. I used a local father and son business, who did it for 6,000. BEWARE..these guys are CROOKS.

The crew from Byers were excellent! From the beginning of the project to the completion our new roof installation was a pleasant worry free experience. Which was exactly what we were hoping for. Eric, The project manager called us everyday to see if we had any questions or concerns as the crew was working. He explained everything clearly, next steps, and the progress of the job. Cody the foreman and his crew were on time, professional and polite. They did a thorough job cleaning every day before they leave. It was a pleasure working with the Byers crew. We would highly recommend them.

We installed Leaf Guard gutters over seven years ago. I have the need three times during this time frame to clear minor clogs. Each time the response was timely. Today, February 4th, Byers was here to clear a clogged section of gutter due to birds stuffing acorns in the small openings. Wyatt and Brian were assigned today and they did an excellent job in resolving the issue. They were professional, efficient, neat and friendly. Byers customer service is second to none!

We have them up year round as outdoor lighting! We went to B&C and got tiny little cuphooks. It's a very small, screw-in type of thing. (They come as small as a larger thumbtack so there's no real damage.) We space them about every 3 feet or so, right into the facia that's under the leafguard gutters. You just string the lights that way, or you can wrap around the cuphooks once and it keeps tension on the light string so there's no gap or sway. We use the newer type, it's an outdoor registered copper with tiny white LEDs. It's really cool!
Absolutely! As for the type of paint, we defer to your painter or paint supplier. Most folks seem to use the same paint used for the house. We do recommend wiping newish gutters with a wax and grease remover to prepare them. Older gutters should be cleaned like any other surface to be painted. Painting our gutters does not effect the performance but it does void the finish warranty provided by the manufacturer.
