I discovered Sheds by Design via their excellent website where you can configure almost any shed you can dream of. After playing on their website, we visited in person. Silas and his family were delightful and we were able to tour several different sheds they had on site. We went back inside and designed the perfect shed for our family. They correctly quoted how long it would take to custom build the shed, we sent them the paint color codes and waited. Delivery day was a snap! They installed the shed where I asked, and the delivery guy was extremely patient while my wife and I surveyed that it was in just the right spot. Once it was settled, he got it level on blocks, double checked everything with us and was on his way. I can't recommend Sheds by Design enough! I expect that they'll get more business in my neighborhood.

When buying a shed, be aware of property setbacks, anchor kit requirements, and permits! Common setbacks are 5' or 10' back from your neighbors property line. Some municipalities require anchor kits for sheds which we can include for you at building purchase! If you have a heavy mower, you may want to include a ramp with shed purchase! Per our installation agreement you are responsible to check with your local building standards for any shed permit requirements!

It really depends on your planned use of the building! For a few garden tools, bicycles, yard toys a 8x12 is a popular size. For a mower, or lawn equipment, 10x12 to 12x12 10x16 and 12x16 10x20 and 12x20 are popular sizes. For people with lots of lawn equipment, household supplies, and sports equipment such as side by sides, 4x4, ski doo, small garden tractor, boat, etc we would recommend 12x20 12x24 or larger!
