I called from three different numbers and the person working answered and hung up immediately… unprofessional??? called a 4th time and they answered said nothing and transferred me to a another number. Tried again. Same thing. This is America 🇺🇸

Lousy. I needed to get a copy of my SSI award asap for a loan application. I went to the office and a very polite guard said I had to call, and gave me the number. I have called repeatedly throughout the day and the phone just keeps beeping. If it is often busy, why in hell don't they just get a simple answering machine to take a call back message like most other busy agencies do.

You probably have to go into the office with ID, birth certificate, and some other form of ID.
No, you have to go to the DTA office to apply for food stamps. And if your already receiving SS benefits, then you need to bring a benefit income verification letter with you when your applying for food stamps
They answered when I called, and told me i had to come in. I went in and they resolved my problem in less than 20 minutes.
