Jake in the deli area is young but already a hell of a worker. Every time I come in there or call the deli I know if he's the one helping me I have nothing to worry about. One time I was just being lazy and didn't feel like cooking baked potato at home for dinner. I called food city (same day) jake answered and acted like baked potatoes, same day notice wasn't a big deal at all. He confirmed it with another associate and a few hours later I had brisket stuffed baked potato ready for my boyfriend for dinner. Yes, he thinks I made the whole thing from scratch. No, i did not or will not ever tell him otherwise. I'm sure jake is fine with that too. that was only one time out of several where Jake helped me solve a problem. He is nice, polite, knowledgeable .

It's a hometown store...Although we have grown termendously, we are still small in comparison to places Like Knoxville. People are familar with each other, If you need food they sell it. Need a friendly Frace, A smile, Well that's free. A good cup of coffee they have it, you have to buy that however... LoL.

Great place for good food! They have quite a big selection of all sorts of items. They even have some rarer produce like dragon fruit. Also there is a Starbucks inside so you can drink coffee while you shop.
