Horrible customer service from the owner herself. My family came in and spent over $40 on ice cream and other treats. After we got home I realized we had been charged an extra $8.75 for a double cone that we did not receive. Mistakes happen…totally understandable. So I called that night and they said to just bring in the receipt and it should be no problem. A few days later I brought the receipt in and explained the situation. The owner (who is English with blonde hair) asked for the receipt and was quizzing me about what I did or did not receive. She was very rude and condescending. I was also not refunded the right amount. It really could have been a quick refund for the extra cone. Most shops would probably say sorry for the trouble here’s the cone we charged you for and a refund. I was very calm and kind throughout this refund process. What makes this experience much worse is that I had to deescalate the situation and calm her down. I explained that we had a great time when we came in for the ice cream and treats that night. I apologized for the trouble but it was really no inconvenience on my part. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Vero beach Kilwins.
