Course is in excellent shape, don't let it being wide open fool you. Greens are tricky fast and will test best putters. Will definitely play here again. Friendly staff eager to give advice about the course and good food available.

Fantastic course, greens were excellent, they appeared to be painted for added green, fairways brown but in good shape. There was too much sand in the traps, balls plugged especially when hit into the bank, almost impossible to get them out, ball should have a chance to roll back into the base of the bunker. Greens are turtle back or mushroom, very difficult and small but held good iron shots so no issue. I would have given 5 stars but I took my son who is a student at nearby Chowan U apparently their home course, no student discount and rental clubs were terrible. A good driver and putter but then 3 ladies irons and a few ladies hybrids, no sand wedge. It was so hard for him to hit any decent shots and enjoy the round. I will go back and play another time, was good value for quality of golf, hopefully they have better rentals next time. The course is very very long, Blue tees are over 7000 yards, we played blue/white combo and its still 6500 yards. We both hit it long but still the course is a beast. 10th hole is up hill par 5 that is over 600 yards with a lake to squeeze a decent layup into the fairway. Green is severely sloped, impossible to 2 putt if you are above the hole. Not complaining just warning, make sure you pick the correct tees or it will be a very tough day.

Amazing golf experience. Wonderful golf course that is very fair off the tee and demanding around the greens. Great clubhouse and practice facilities as well.
