The hotel is beautiful! The stars belong to the restaurant for it’s very tasty food and EXCELLENT service. The waiter/bar tender was absolutely incredible. He was so attentive and personable. He gave us 5 star service and went to great lengths to make sure we had an amazing experience. I had the crab cake sandwich (YUMMY). I’ve heard so much about the she crab soup too.

Staff, Staff, Staff!! Location and food are good, but the STAFF made the world of a difference. We picked this location due to its’ pet-friendly policy and proximity to downtown Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Rooms are VERY clean and cleaning crew are accommodating. The lobby restaurant had a good range of options to offer , and the after-hours”pantry” was always stocked with goodies. Again, STAFF WERE THE REASON FOR 4 stars: we were initially greeted by Mimi, Tasha and Cedric (breakfast) and they won us over with exceptional service (and an abundance of love and bacon for our pooch, Onyx); Rena and Ashton felt like our personal lunch staff… great individualized service and attention (again, with love for our dog, and additional help with our interest in establishing residence in Norfolk); cocktails in the evenings were provided by Fabian and Rusty… thank you, ALL!! This review would have been 5 stars, if not for the anti-pet agenda of Don… we checked out early (by 2 days). Thank you Sheraton staff (including you, Don… you saved us hundreds). morning.

Hotel was clean and rooms were very comfortable. Food was very good. I was there for my nieces wedding. The staff was GREAT. During breakfast Mimi made sure we had everything we needed, During dinner Tasha was great. Meg at the open bar at the reception served with a beautiful smile, and James the engineer stop by to make sure everything was working well. I can't say enough good things about the wonderful staff at this hotel. THANKS everyone for making this trip and event a memorable one. Yolanda

Room was comfortable and well appointed. We were very happy and the front desk staff was courteous. What made our stay was the restaurant staff. Tasha & Mimi were outstanding and exceeded our expectations. Our table was set beautifully, the service was attentive and, when we shared that we were staying for our anniversary, they surprised us with waffles with cute heart shaped fruits skewers in our juice - truly the extra mile!!! A small token, but incredibly sweet and guest centered. That kindness and unexpected surprise will bring us back to The Sheraton Waterside again!
