Dr Amshel, both me and my husband Bobby have been extremely happy with your excellent skills as a colorectal surgeon. I am extremely disappointed that you would bring in "doctor" Sehres. Why? I had hoped karma had taken care of him for good after what he did to me. His previous practice had sketchy billing practices in my opinion and after several discussions with the office staff I got no where. When I explained the situation in a review asking readers for their opinion "doctor" Sehres decided to drop me as a patient. I was told his "feelings" were hurt. Rather than sending me a letter in the mail or talking to me in person he waited months until my next visit to inform me through his staff. That visit just happened to be immediately following a week long stay in the hospital on no food..just fluids. I was told to follow up with my PCP asap and I was very weak. I PAID for that visit just to be told I needed to find another doctor and no follow up tests could be ordered. I did not see a doctor. Other than my vitals I received no medical care. Instead of concentrating on getting better I had to look for another PCP. My family of 4 all dropped "doctor" Sehres as well. Dr. Amshel, if you want to drop us as well we are fine with that in light of this unfortunate partnership. Bobby got his last colonoscopy at the VA and I have an appointment with the doctor that did my endoscopy to talk about if he will do that and my colonoscopy at the same time when due. UPDATE. in response to Dr Amshel's reply...I want the public to know that Sehres is heartless and did not follow his oath to care for this patient first and to do no harm. I also did not mention Sehres once told my daughter a new dark spot behind her ear was fine just to find out it was pre cancerous by a dermatologist and needed to be removed. Good thing I felt I needed a second opinion. *** I doubt a private conversation with you Dr Amshel was going to get Sehres fired.

I highly recommend Dr. Amshel. The staff are so pleasant and welcoming. You don't feel like you are in a hospital setting and everything is explained to you. I went for a colonoscopy. Easy peasy! You are done before you know it and Darrell (he's the one that gives you the sleep meds) is the best. If you are having any doubts about this procedure, don't worry. You will be in excellant hands. PS the music they play is A+

I highly recommend Dr. Amshel and his team. So very kind and friendly as well as professional. They made the "dreaded procedure" so comfortable.

I want to know also

Where do you perform colonoscopy

Good question. We have several places to choose from depending on your availability, insurance, and your medical condition. Most patients' scopes (EGDs too) are performed right in our state-of-the-art surgical suite at our Sun City Center office which is the least expensive option. We also perform them at a couple of Surgical Centers (no hospitals!) in Tampa.

Anyone have a pilodonial cyst removed? How did the surgery go and are you feeling better ?

Pilonidal disease is a common problem and can become quite troublesome. We take care of this problem all of the time. Although there is a known recurrence, patients are pleased that they went through with an operation to take them out of their misery.

Do you provide transportation to surgical centers?

Great question. We don't personally provide transportation, but will arrange transportation for you with several local services. If you need transportation to our Sun City Center location, there is a free service throughout the community.
